About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1905/06 (S14), Game 5: New South Wales vs South Australia

New South Wales 19/13 vs South Australia 10/10
Sydney Cricket Ground
6th, 8th-10th January 1906

Lineups:
New South Wales- VT Trumper, JRM Mackay, MA Noble, A Diamond, A Cotter, EF Waddy, CG Macartney, JS Redgrave, H Carter, GL Garnsey, JDA O'Connor

South Australia- FT Hack, N Claxton, J Darling, JH Pellew, DRA Gehrs, CE Dolling, JC Reedman, RF Cowan, JPF Travers, HSC Jarvis, AW Wright

First Innings
It took a few good performances amid a sea of mediocrity and early exits to give South Australia a good start. Put into bat, the away team started decently, but a ninth wicket partnership of 143 propelled them into a solid position despite the condition of the pitch.

SA 331
JPF Travers 89; FT Hack 84; HSC Jarvis 59*
A Cotter 6-81

For once it was New South Wales who found it tougher on the tricky pitch and found themselves trailing going into the second innings. The bowling kept them honest, and a lot of good fielding, some spectacular, helping the South Australian cause.

SA 331
NSW 307
EF Waddy 80; MA Noble 79
JPF Travers 3-65; JC Reedman 3-79

Second Innings
Things really turned around here with only FT Hack scoring higher than 20 as New South Wales found their groove. For the second time this season A Cotter is one short of ten wickets in a match, while a second bowler made a fiver.

SA 331 + 151
NSW 307
FT Hack 43
GL Garnsey 5-47; A Cotter 3-48

The momentum was fully in favour of New South Wales and they were done in less than two sessions with only a pair of casualties.

SA 331 + 151
NSW 307 + 176-2
MA Noble 58*; A Diamond 52*
AW Wright 1-28

New South Wales win by eight wickets.

DICE Boxing: ATG Tournament (Flyweight) - The Final

(8) Jimmy Wilde def. (11) Hiroyuki Ebihara by Unanimous Decision

It's all over, and we have the greatest flyweight boxer of all time: Jimmy Wilde! The eighth seed withstood a late knockdown in a bloody encounter to stand proud above the rest.

The first two rounds were claimed by the eventual winner with ease, but both men suffered bad cuts above their eyes that, if reopened, would surely have ended the bout. Ebihara took the third round with a good heavy shot, but found it hard going to claim many more.

The fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth rounds were far too easy for Wilde, with only the fifth close enough to give Ebihara some favour from the judges. The Japanese fighter came alive in the latter stages of the match, building up to a very late knockdown in the twelfth. Wilde looked in serious trouble and would surely have failed to get back up if he hit the mat again. As it was, time ran out on Ebihara with only a cheap elbow to end the round.

Punches Landed/Attempted - Wilde 82/13(62.59%), Ebihara 48/92 (52.17%)
Total Points (at the end of the last completed round) - Wilde 271, Ebihara 171
Judges Cards (at the end of the last completed round) - Wilde 118-113, 115-113, 115-113 Ebihara
Fouls - Wilde 0, Ebihara 1
Cuts Opened - Wilde 1, Ebihara 1

CW 1905/06 (S14), Game 4: victoria vs South Australia

Victoria 11/11 vs South Australia 10/10
Melbourne Cricket Ground
30th December, 1st-4th January 1905

Lineups:
Victoria- AH Christian, TS Warne, PA McAlister, WW Armstrong, VS Ranford, EV Carroll, FJ Laver, JF Horan, W Carkeek, GR Hazlitt, JV Saunders

South Australia- FT Hack, N Claxton, J Darling, JH Pellew, CE Dolling, JC Reedman, RF Cowan, JPF Travers, HSC Jarvis, HG Hutton, AW Wright

First Innings
A tricky innings, on an equally tricky pitch, had South Australia start out by losing their opening batsmen for a run each. Bowling pressure was good throughout, bu a pair of good scores in the middle order pushed the away side on passed 250.

SA 258
JC Reedman 79; CE Dolling 50
WW Armstrong 4-56; JV Saunders 4-71

The Victorian reply was good, but it needed a highly impressive tenth wicket partnership (101) to get within touching distance let alone overtake their opponents tally. The star of the show though was bowler JC Reedman with a career-best performance.

SA 258
VIC 292
W Carkeek 58; VS Ranford 54; GR Hazlitt 53*
JC Reedman 7-76

Second Innings
South Australia looked like they were heading down a similar path to the first innings but, like previously, were able to kick on in the middle order. With the pitch turning even more, South Australia looked good for the double against Victoria.

SA 258 + 369
VIC 292
RF Cowan 138; JC Reedman 98
FJ Laver 5-96

The South Australian bowlers were left dumbfounded a little over twenty-four hours later as they walked away with a loss. Consistent batting from the host side handily dealt with much of what their opponents had to offer, especially their unbeaten seventh wicket partnership of 146.

SA 258 + 369
VIC 292 + 336-6
EV Carroll 113*; JF Horan 64*; PA McAlister 55
RF Cowan 2-62

Victoria wins by four wickets.
