About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1905/06 (S14), Game 6: New South Wales vs Victoria

New South Wales 19/13 vs South Australia 11/11
Sydney Cricket Ground
26th-27th, 29th-31st January, 1st Feb. 1906

Lineups:
New South Wales- JRM Mackay, A Diamond, MA Noble, VT Trumper, RA Duff, EF Waddy, CG Macartney, H Carter, A Cotter, GL Garnsey, JDA O'Connor

Victoria- TS Warne, M Ellis, PA McAlister, FB Collins, VS Ranford, JF Horan, AH Christian, EV Carroll, FJ Laver, CF Jones, JV Saunders

First Innings
Another tough battle was fought between these two sides, starting with New South Wales falling just a little shy of five-hundred. Five wickets fell after reaching between 78-84 runs in a curious coincidence, and the remaining batsmen all managed to reach double figures.

NSW 487
H Carter 84; JRM Mackay 80; A Diamond 79; VT Trumper 79; CG Macartney 78
JV Saunders 5-129; FJ Laver 4-95

A slower start for Victoria meant they could not quite match their opponents' score, but a great last wicket stand of 138 at least got them beyond the follow-on point and close to the total of NSW.

NSW 487
VIC 461
CF Jones 96*; JF Horan 84; AH Christian 56; JV Saunders 52
A Cotter 4-137

Second Innings
Two great batting performances were responsible for New South Wales again passing 450, but, with the exception of A Cotter, all other batsmen failed to produce against some very good bowling.

NSW 487 + 457
VIC 461
H Carter 139; A Diamond 118; A Cotter 59
FJ Laver 4-85; JV Saunders 4-130

The pitch had deteriorated throughout the match from a good batting wicket to one that ended up giving the Victorian batsmen nightmares. A lot of solid fielding complemented the bowling attack, stopping Victoria getting much of a rhythm after the second wicket fell for a partnership of 133.

NSW 487 + 457
VIC 461 + 266
TS Warne 68; PA McAlister 64
JDA O'Connor 4-62; A Cotter 4-63

New South Wales win by two-hundred-and-seventeen runs.
