About M.E. myself and I

My photo
Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1911/12 (S20), Game 6: New South Wales vs Victoria

New South Wales vs Victoria
Sydney Cricket Ground
26th-27th, 29th-31st January 1912
Lineups:

New South Wales- SE Gregory, W Bardsley, CG Macartney, EP Barbour, RB Minnett, C Kelleway, EL Waddy, SH Emery, A Cotter, GR Hazlitt, CG McKew

Victoria- JA Seitz, HHL Kortlang, TJ Matthews, DBM Smith, WW Armstrong, NE Brown, C McKenzie, AEV Hartkopf, JH Kyle, EA McDonald, W Carkeek

First Innings
New South Wales may have been employing some mind games when they installed Victoria in to bat on a fine pitch that would hold throughout the match. If the home side expected an easy start, they were disappointed as partnerships of 159 and 72 kept Victoria going after a tricky start that had them 82-4.

VIC 409
WW Armstrong 93; NE Brown 66; C McKenzie 60
C Kelleway 3-83

With the Shield to be decided at the SCG, it was Victoria who had the advantage midway through the match, and should have really been in full control when they had New South Wales on their knees at 221-8. A magnificent performance from the ninth man# A Cotter, coupled with tenth man GR Hazlitt, took them much closer than they really should have been allowed to be.

VIC 409
NSW 392
A Cotter 109; GR Hazlitt 55
NE Brown 4-67; JH Kyle 3-87

Second Innings
The away side must have been ruing their missed opportunity in the third day to put New South Wales to the sword as the second innings saw a swing in momentum with a stuttered performance at the crease here. Again, WW Armstrong led the way by falling just shy of a century, but much of the order was taken down all too easily.

VIC 409 + 277
NSW 392
WW Armstrong 96; TJ Matthews 73
A Cotter 6-83

Victoria would need to repeat what they managed in the first innings, but with the means to finish off their opponents. As it was, New South Wales cruised to another year atop the league table as Victoria failed to find any rhythm after the opening wicket (SE Gregory 4) with just twelve runs on the board.

VIC 409 + 277
NSW 392 + 295-3
W Bardsley 137; EP Barbour 86*
JH Kyle 1-42

New South Wales win by seven wickets.

Sideline Strategy Basketball - NBA 1973/74 Playoffs

Sideline Strategy Basketball is by Joe Bryan, the maker of Basho Bash Sumo Wrestling. It utilises a Fast Action Card (FAC) system for everything in-game. Each FAC will determine who has the ball, who they will be directly up against in that possession, and if a basket/foul/steal/etc is made.

I now little about the sport, and have never been able to greatly enjoy watching it either, but I have been enjoying this game. The playoff matchups are:

Los Angeles Lakers vs Milwaukee Bucks
Chicago Bulls vs Detroit Pistons
New York Knickerbockers vs Capital Bullets
Boston Celtics vs Buffalo Braves.
