About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

The big matchup of the draw lived up to it's hype when the two remaining unbeaten rinks met: China and Sweden. After a clam start things soon picked up, ending with Sweden stealing to tie the match in the ninth before China won with the hammer in the final end.

Germany finds their first victory at the expense of Scotland who have yet to win again after their opening match and despite scoring three in the opening end. Denmark also started out strong but continued in this vein, accepting the Czech handshake.

China just manage to keep their 100% record going after they were surprisingly taken to an extra end by the winless Czech Republic when they were able to steal in the tenth. Russia also stole one in the tenth end, seeing off the USA, and the other matches were called early with Korea and Scotland offering handshakes to Switzerland and Canada.

Sweden contained the Scottish rink expertly in the second half of their match, taking them to a 3-0 record. China also are unbeaten through three matches as they saw off winless Germany in very convincing fashion. Elsewhere, both Canada and Norway are now 2-1 thanks to their wins. The Canadians had two steals against Denmark in the sixth and seventh ends that would prove the difference, while the Czechs pushed Norway hard but were ultimately outgunned.

Switzerland hit the ground running in the afternoon session of day three, accepting the handshake after seven ends, and China join Sweden and Denmark on a 2-0 record after dispatching Korea who drop their third match to start the tournament but all while playing at a decent level.

The Canadians had the toughest time winning in their match with Russia coming back from deficits on three occasions., and after being swept off the ice against Denmark in their last match the USA put Scotland to the sword with some impressive play.

The three Scandinavian rinks have an good time of it in the final action on day two, a pair of them going 2-0 up in the tournament. Russia had no answer to Sweden's play, the winners accepting the handshake after the seventh end in both of their matches now. Denmark's 100% record was maintained in style as well with a flurry of great shots towards the end of their win over the USA.

Germany took the Swiss to an extra end after coming back from 6-4 down in the tenth but are winless after two matches, and Korea are also looking to get a W on their record despite a positive outing until the seventh end against Norway where they were able to get some room to breath.

All teams have now played one match after a draw full of close contests. The heavyweights from Canada and China did battle with the first half pretty even before China started making some terrific shots to take full control. USA made an impressive comeback, trailing 6-4 after eight ends and ending with the win on the steal.

In the other games Eve Murihead was not needed in Scotland's victory over the Czechs, and a four point haul in the sixth end for Russia was enough to see off the slightly more consistent Koreans.

Tee Line Curling - Capital One World Women's Curling Championship 2011

The return of TLC will feature both Womens and Mens World Championships from March and April this year. Both tournaments feature twelve teams competing in a round-robin before the top four progress to the knockout rounds.

In the women's world championship Sweden and China are expected to be the most dangerous with the usual suspects of Canada and Switzerland also looking strong. Lene Nielsen's rink won the Danish national tournament, beating out "Team Adorable" who represented them in the Olympics. Another Olympic favourite, Eve Muirhead, had to settle into the alternate role for Scotland who could end up anywhere in the final standings.

The knockout stages for both competitions will differ in that I will using a second curling game for all of those matches: Shot Rock Curling.
