On February 4th a major trade was finalised between the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins when the previous nights six point man Don McKenney was sent to the Big Apple along with Dick Meissner. McKenney was second on the Bruins in goals (22) and points (40) behind Murray Oliver, tying him for powerplay goals with eleven; Meissner will not see action this year. Dean Prentice, joint second in assists (26) and joint-second with Andy Bathgate in points (38) on the Rangers has seven powerplay goals and a game-winner.
