About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

DICE Hockey - Stanley Cup Finals Game #1

Tuesday April 9th 1963
Detroit Red Wings lead the best-of-seven series 1-0

1st 2nd 3rd T
(4) DET 3 1 1 5
(3) TOR 0 2 2 4

The Red Wings have won nine games in a row going back to the regular season but the third line of Toronto gave them a late scare in game one of the Finals. Detroit jumped out to a 4-0 lead early in the second period as the Maple Leafs found themselves in penalty trouble resulting in two powerplay goals for the visiting team. Norm Ullman, who only registered an assist against Montreal, scored twice in the opening ten minutes; Gordie Howethen followed up with a pair of his own to lead the playoffs in goals.

Toronto found some momentum before the second interval with Bill Harris scoring his fourth goal of the postseason after managing only nine in the regular season, and a very late goal from Frank Mahovlich had Maple Leaf Gardens alive again. Detroit then started the third period by cancelling out the momentum that Toronto had been building through Parker MacDonald before the Leafs third unit made life difficult for the Wings to set up a nail biting finish.
